was catching up on my gossip girl online last night, and a song totally caught my attention. did some digging and found out it's a track called 'E.S.T.' by white lies. white lies are a UK group that could be loosely described as a darker killers. after giving their debut disc 'to lose my life' a listen on myspace, i can say they have a certain quality that is appealing to anyone who likes their bands with an electro and gloomy edge. that being said, i found their songs to be a slightly redundant sounding past a point...even if E.S.T. is on repeat in my world at the moment. but thought it was worth a mention given the hype they're getting across the pond.
• 'to lose my life' had its UK release today, but no word yet on a north american release date.
